“Lord, Teach Us to Pray.”

Prayer is essential in the life of a believer. It is the oxygen for our spiritual soul. Jesus often withdrew to go to the Father in prayer (Luke 5:16). In the gospels, we see Jesus making prayer a priority. He prayed on all occasions, in times of pain, desperation, and in times of blessing. If Jesus, the Son of God, saw the need to pray, how much greater is our need to go to the Father in prayer?

Encourage your students to make prayer a HABIT  “Pray without ceasing.” -1 Thessalonians 5:17.

Eliminate distractions. Our world is full of “noise” especially for our youth. They are constantly bombarded with information. Turn off devices and get alone with the Lord. “Be still and know that I am God.” -Psalm 46:10

Pray with others. Come alongside your brothers and sisters in Christ by praying with one another and for one another. "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." -1 Thessalonians 5:11
